Privacy policy

of the Rheinmetall Group

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We therefore naturally always handle your personal data in accordance with the legal data protection regulations. We have appointed a qualified and reliable Data Protection Officer.

In the following, we would like to inform you about the processing of personal data.

Collection and processing of personal data

You can essentially use our online offer without disclosing your identity. Should our website request personal data, e.g. in the contact forms or when registering/logging in (such as your name, address or email address), this takes place on a voluntary basis. The information provided is used for our own business purposes (such as sending the requested materials/information).

In case of questions, we offer you the opportunity to get in touch with us using the form provided on our website. In this case, the data marked as mandatory fields is required to be able to assign and respond to the request. Additional information can be provided on a voluntary basis. Data processing for the purposes of establishing contact takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. a GDPR, on the basis of your voluntary consent.

The personal data collected to use the contact form is erased after executing your request as well as after the expiration of the fiscal and commercial retention periods.

Once you have granted your consent, e.g. for the purposes of sending a newsletter or other interesting information from our company, you may revoke this consent with effect for the future at any time without providing reasons. To do so, you can use the aforementioned contact form or any other method indicated in the newsletter.

When registering for and using Rheinmetall AG’s Investor Relations Event Reminder service, your personal data will be used exclusively for the purpose of sending e-mails with information regarding events organised by the Rheinmetall Group or in which companies of the Rheinmetall Group are participating. You can revoke your consent to participate in the Event Reminder service at any time at https://ir.rheinmetall.com/websites/rheinmetall/English/9000.html

Cookies

This site uses "cookies". Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of the use of the website and also allow you to be automatically recognised during your next visit. You can prevent the installation of cookies by changing the settings in your browser accordingly. This may mean that you can no longer make full use of all functions.

Every time you access the website, protocols are created and processed for statistical purposes, whereby individual users remain anonymous:

  • Search terms (with search engines as the referrer)
  • IP is evaluated to determine the country of origin and the provider
  • Browser, operating system, installed plug-ins and screen resolution
  • Duration of the visit to the website

We process the stated data on the basis of our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) s.1 lit. f GDPR, for the following purposes:

  • To ensure a smooth connection to the website
  • To ensure the comfortable use of our website
  • To evaluate the system security and stability as well as
  • For additional administrative purposes.

We reserve the right to retrospectively check this data, if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use. The data will be deleted immediately, once it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, however after no more than six months.

Transfer of data

The data is essentially not transferred to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without your express consent. We only pass your data on to third parties if this is permitted and/or required by law [such as based on Article 6 GDPR]. In some cases, we use service providers for the statutory processing of data; for instance, the website is hosted by Arvato Systems GmbH and maintained by kernpunkt Digital GmbH. If you do use our Investor Relations Event Reminder service, Event Reminder e-mails will be sent by the service provider EQS Group AG. We retain full responsibility for the data processing. Further on we use to some extent plug-ins of other service provider on our website; please find details below.

Please note that we may also transfer your personal data to other companies within our group for the aforementioned purposes [see " Rheinmetall Group/Group/Locations worldwide "]. Data transfer takes place based on a legitimate interest, to be able to provide you with an integrated offer of our services.

This also includes companies outside the EU/EEA. We ensure an adequate level of data protection by establishing standard contract clauses/binding corporate rules/privacy shield. You can request copies of these from our Data Protection Officer at any time, free of charge.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority of the Union or member states any time, in case of any violations of data protection regulations.

Change to our data protection regulations (Privacy Policy)

Further on Rheinmetall uses to some extent plug-ins of other service provider on its websites.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed using an interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. This means: no cookies are used and no personal data is recorded. The Google Tag Manager initiates other tags that may record data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If it has been disabled at the domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, if they are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.

Web Analysis with Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of the use of the website by you, including the evaluation of socio-demographic information. The information generated about your use of this website by the cookie (including your shortened IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it is also stored. Google uses this information to assess your use of the website in order to compile reports on the website activities for the website operator and to provide additional services related to the use of the website and the internet. Google may also transmit this information to third parties, if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not link your IP address with other Google data.

Google is certified according to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield is a data protection agreement designed to ensure an adequate level of data protection for data transfers to certified companies in the USA. You can find the current status quo of Google’s certification at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI [external site]. The data stored by Google will be automatically deleted after 14 months.
